Scholarships

Scholarships are gifts. They don't need to be repaid. There are thousands of them, offered by schools, employers, individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, and professional and social organizations.

In an effort to become paperless, the NSU Financial Aid Office has partnered withAwardSpring to offer students an online scholarship application process.

  • What is AwardSpring?

    AwardSpring is our new automated application and awarding system for NSU Scholarships.

  • Who can apply?

    All current students and newly admitted degree seeking students with a valid FAFSA on record with NSU.

    Newly admitted students will not be reviewed or awarded until their deposit is paid to the university.

  • When can I apply?

    The application will be available from April 1 each year until the first day of classes.

  • How do I log into the scholarship platform?

    Link: https://nsuscholarships.awardspring.com/

    Use your NSU email or username and password to log in.

    **Newly admitted students must activate their NSU email account prior to signing in (refer to your admissions packet for instructions). Allow 48 hours for the site to be updated after activation.

  • What happens after I apply?

    You will receive an email that your application is complete and submitted.

  • When will awarding begin?

    The Financial Aid Office will review applications from June 1, 2020 through September 30, 2020

    • Awarding will run from July 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020
  • How will I know if I am awarded?

    You will be notified in 2 ways:

    • You will receive an email from AwardSpring.
    • You will receive an email via your NSU email account.
